Downloading sappy post.....
I recently had the pleasure of helping a mechanic move out of his 20 year old auto body shop.
Now if you know anything about an auto body shop - you know it's a lot of gizmos and gadgets. Especially a shop thats been there for 20 years, the clutter has certainly accumulated.
I worked in the shop with the client for about 5 full days, clearing the clutter - making piles of what needed to go into storage and what needed to be sold and what needed to go home with said client.
It was a big and challenging job but it was super rewarding! After all the sorting and organizing of the tools happened, the items that were being sold and being saved were moved into storage.
The client had me come back to help him organize the storage unit and after we got done he just took a step back and said "Wow, thank you so much. working with you really helped me see a new perspective of things. Before, I had no idea where to even start or what to do with everything and what you do just really makes sense."
It was really a "pinch me" moment because THAT is why I am in this business. The work is hard and sometimes dirty. There are also a lot of "what is this?!' moments too but all the hard work pays off when someone sees their space and belongings in a new light.
This client was a referral from a referral and it's truly the best kind of people to have around! I am so grateful for my clients and for this business. I can't wait to help more people see a new perspective with organization!
Much love to you all!
